Hello

Today I felt like trying something new, and juiced a watermelon (rind and all, as I have read about the nutritional value of the rind) . I had been clearing out my closets, and decided that I needed something a little more refreshing. Wow! it really hit the spot.

Greetings

I had an emotional day yesterday, and I figure that it is due to detox. I did an intensive yoga practice, and think I was storing alot of built up emotion in the hip area. I also juiced alot of dandelion greens, which are a really strong for liver detox. In response to the intensity of my emotions, I hit hard on some of the acupressure points. I am reading Donna Eden's "Energy Medicine" book, and it is really helping to open up some old blocks. I am not posting a recipe today, as I am drinking a similar drink without the extra dandelion greens. I did add some buckwheat, and sunflower sprouts for living energy!

Hello People
I have been juicing for about a week and a half now, and really noticing the benefits. I have yet to give up my morning coffee fix, but give myself a break because I live in the Pacific Northwest. I juiced for breakfast this morning, but went light on the greens, as I didn't have a lemon to cut the strong green flavor. I have switched back to using green apples, because they have a lower sugar content. My body doesn't do well with all the sugar :( My digestion has improved, and my skin is becoming clearer every day.

I love juicing!!!

Todays juice
1 granny smith apple (you can add more or less to taste)
1 bunch organic spinach
2 sticks of celery
dandelion greens (these are great for detoxing the liver)
1 whole cucumber (skin on)
If you want to make this juice, and aren't used to juicing then I would recommend adding a lemon with some of the rind.

Enjoy!

Hi friends!
I have decided to make a blog on my daily experience with juicing, and how it affects my health and outlook. I often have trouble buying enough organic produce to fufill my thirst for this habit. Yesterday I visited my old co op in Portland, and was able to reap the benefits of their weekly farmers market. I have never juiced Lambsquarters before, but gave it a try this morning and love it. It has given me the energy I need for the day.
Todays juice consisted of:

2 sticks of celery
bunch of lambsquarters
1 cup spinach
1/2 lemon
1 whole cuke
1/2 fuji apple

This was made in my green star juicer ( I highly recommend this type of twin gear juicer)
